/ Differences Between Depression & Clinical Depression
The major difference between depression and clinical depression is that depression is short-term and clinical depression is considered to be an ongoing condition for two or more weeks. Clinical depression is also considered a mental disorder because of the severity according to the "Diagnostic Statistical Manual" (DSM)—a manual used to diagnose mental health conditions.

The symptoms for a "Major Depressive Disorder" (MDD) include: Depressed mood, a loss of interest or pleasure in daily activities for more than two weeks. 1.)
