"There is no better means by which we can grow ourselves and the world around us than through service to others." -LMP
Higher awareness (a.k.a. spirituality) exists when our words and actions increase the welfare of people, animals, plants, or the ecosystem around us. There are many ways in which we can strive to develop or enhance our higher awareness by becoming involved in a "good cause."
Here at LMP, we strongly believe that by providing service, we can develop a deeper gratitude for our own existence and for our environment (both people and nature). In doing so, we can discover greater happiness in our lives. This mindset often leads to a much more meaningful, purposeful, and satisfying existence that can encourage spiritual substance (charity and love) which can permeate our day-to-day lives. To achieve this, it is important for us to gravitate toward a selfless philosophy (e.g., humanism, religion, environmentalism, philanthropy etc.) that is devoid of discrimination and has the capacity to bring about joy and deeper meaning to our lives and the lives of others.
